ReAwaken The Heart: Caring & Renewal in Nursing Practice

 

 

At this retreat we’ll focus on the importance of nurturing the nurse. We will create time for reflection and connection in a supportive community of nurses. We’ll examine the factors that contribute to the stresses that effect us and employ simple and realistic ways to regain our caring focus.

As we do so we’ll explore the foundational concepts that form the roots of our profession. We have a rich legacy in nursing. Much of what is considered new in medicine has always been basic in nursing. Nutrition, Massage, Rest, Natural Healing.

We know them as the simple comforts cherished by patients and nurses alike. We’ll re-discover their healing attributes and learn how to introduce them into our current practice. We’ll also discuss how the advent of these and other therapies have opened new doorways for nurses in the healing arts.

You’ll leave the program with a renewed sense of purpose, realistic tools for self-care and practical knowledge of complementary therapies that will help you and your patients. And something more… the deep sense of why you originally answered the call of nursing.
