Creating Nursing Community

Creating Nursing Community: Your Story As a Healing Path

‘There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you’

~ Maya Angelou ~

Community offers the heart of healing by allowing the individual to be present with and heard by supportive others. In our complex healthcare environment isolation can occur which makes it difficult for nurses to remember the core concepts of nursing: The heart, hands and the spirit of caring.

You will have an opportunity to share your nursing stories in a safe and supportive environment. You will be invited to offer generous listening. To continue this profound experience you will be provided with take home tools to create your own story circles that will help build and sustain the community of nursing.

‘Creating Nursing Community’ will also provide opportunities for self-reflection with an introduction to self care tools such as silence, breath, and walking meditation.  Join us for an inspiring day in the nurturing embrace of Harmony Hill Retreat Center. A delicious healthy lunch is included.
